Solitary wild-land meditation is not the easy way to begin to know your own mind. As a meditation practice, extended solitude can be psychologically challenging. Relationship with a meditation instructor or mentor is recommended. The most common obstacles arise in the experience of boredom and isolation, the potential discomfort of actually being alone without distraction and entertainment.
Proceed with sober self-awareness, and allocate yourself a generous amount of empathy toward your own vulnerabilities, a key fundamental to the pursuit of calm-abiding and insight.
Basic Meditation Instruction
